EJ’s Auction & Appraisal Thanks Bidders for Their Support!
Thanks to the incredible generosity of our bidders, EJ’s Auction & Appraisal was able to raise $7,310 for the family of fallen Phoenix Police Officer Zane Coolidge!
Bidding began on Saturday, Oct. 26 with 7 items from EJ’s “Buy It Now” store, but over the span of four weeks, our generous consignors donated 32 more items. On Saturday, Nov. 16, bidders from all over the country bid on 39 unique items. EJ’s waived the buyer’s premium and donated 100 percent of auction proceeds to Officer Coolidge’s family through a liaison at the Phoenix Police Department.
Officer Zane Coolidge, 29, was shot and killed in the line of duty while responding to a call in September. He served five years with the Phoenix Police Department and worked as a certified Field Training Officer in the Mountain View Precinct, training those who have just graduated the academy. He left behind a loving wife and a five-month-old daughter.
“Our EJ’s team has been overwhelmed by the public’s support for our auction to benefit Officer Coolidge’s family,” said Erik Hoyer, CEO and owner of EJ’s Auction & Appraisal. “Thanks to our amazing bidders, consignors, vendors and others who wanted to help, we were able to provide much-needed funds to the family right before the Thanksgiving holiday.”
